    Mike | Water Motor..?? Installation..??

I know there is/was an option for a gasoline engine to be installed in the bow for water manuvering. Has any one actually installed one of those thingies? Has anyone given any thought to other methods of swinging the bow in the water? I guess the gas outboard is one possibilty. How about a bow thruster? Or mabe the back end of a jet ski.....Of course weight would be a concern. I can swap about 70lbs of lead shot for something. Any Ideas??

If I had a 70# budget, I'd use 20# of electric trolling motor and 50# of extra battery. Nothing like the fuzzy warm feeling of extra electrical redundancy. (I lost my third alternator just last year)
