Due to unforturnate circumstances Sandy and I will not be able to host the Splash-in this year as previously planned. I'm telling all of you at this time so that whom ever decides to take this Great Event on will have enough time to plan it. If at all possible Sandy and I will try to attend where ever it might be. I hope that someone will step up and do it as this Great Event should not die.

The Lake Amphibian fly-in is held at Killarney Ontario. The lodge is a little expensive but it’s nice and the owner is a pilot and very friendly. It’s located about 400 miles east of Jack. My wife Kristle and I spent 3 days there a few weeks ago. It’s in a protected channel so the water is calm most of the time and there is a runway within walking distance. I tried to post a link below but it looks like it didn't work.

I'm sorry to hear Tom and Sandy are unable to host the flyin, hope things are ok.
I could probably host this in Maryland again if the group would like to.
A few years ago we held it at Bay Bridge Airport, which was close to motels, restaurants and annapolis. There is also a new indoor facility at Massey aerodrome (MD1) that would serve well as a meeting place. They have a turf runway that is in great shape and an interesting number of airplanes being restored. They are off the beaten path a bit more though closer to chestertown, MD. I would be happy to host a gathering one nite like before.
let me know what you all think.
Fred

Thank you for coming forward Fred. The last time we did it at your place it is wonderful. I don't think that the group could ask for a better venue. If it's at all possible Sandy and I will be there.
Tom Saccio
P.S. Both places however seem great.

yes that is the place, it is listed in airnav.com and other sites as 05MD for the airstrip and 23MD for the and seaplane area. Not everyone is ready to tackle a rolling grass strip though, and my ramp only works at high tide,so depending on how things work out, we might end up using either MD1 (massey aerodrome) or w29 (baybridge). IF you want to google earth breezecroft, try my adress 9860, breezecroft lane, chestertown, MD 21620
The date can stay the same if that suits people, which I believe was early october. I will post more information later, and will watch this site to see who else might be interested in coming. If there is anyone else who would prefer to host this, its ok by me as well.
