Mike | Welcome Didier
Didier has joined us from France. Welcome, Didier......
Hello Mike,
I am french, 53 years old and private pilote since 1981. Unfortunately, I am not a Seawind owner but I am leaving in the city of Biscarrosse (south west of France), where there are great lakes with a lot of floatplane history : These lakes has been the departure of the "AEROPOSTALE" intercontinental lines with heroes like Jean Mermoz, Antoine de Saint Exupery, Henri Guillaumet, etc...
During WW2, it was a german floatplane base with a lot of Dorniers. Actually, we have a flying school with an amphibious Cessna 150 and several ultralights.
Since 1993, we have an international floatplane meeting every two years. It is a famous event and the european aviation world is present.
Personally, I am involved in floatplanes since 1985,having been the first pilot exploiting ultralights on floats for school, firsts flights, and aerial advertising.
Having an architecture background, I am Construction Manager, working for missions in remote countries : Africa, Arabia, océanic islands...
I plan to buy a Seawind within the next 2 years and I have a lot of questions to ask.
Thank you for your interest, hope to share questions and answers with you and the association asap.
Best regards
Didier

Dear Didier,
Welcome to our group!! Glad to have you as a member, and look forward to meeting you! We are a group with diverse backgrounds, but all share a love and excitement for the Seawind. You are in the perfect location to have a Seawind. Please feel free to ask any Seawind related question, and there is a lot of good information available on this website.
Once again---welcome!!
