Russ Kotlarek | Stern Thruster Video No Water Rudder
Attached there is a video of Jerry In North Vegas testing the Stern Thruster design I created some time back and installed on my plane. The plane still in building more Jerry elected to place the design into his airplane. Fully replacing the Water Rudder.
By rough measuring of what parts were removed for the Water Rudder assembly and the Stern Thruster is just slightly less in weight than the Water Rudder. This considering Rudder, Linkage, interlock for rudder, cable, rudder strut, ...
As one can see by the video the Stern Thruster has performed actually much better than expected. Best part is it's reliability in not having to get a device to interlock before use. As well the Stern Thruster is full functioning while the plane is at rest.
The Video demonstrates it's effectiveness on Lake Mead.
