Dear friends Seawinders,
I am new to this post, I’ve read almost everything posted, I met some really nice guys on gathering with Planemakers and till now I had nothing to say because I have to learn and listen other builder’s experience. This is the process which sometimes going not too smooth or quick as you can expected but somehow I manage to finish my Seawind last September. Just right on time to be on display at air show in my home town. Needless to say that plane was really eye catcher. Due to birocracy slow movement I’ve got OK to start testing beginning of October which was within expectation till the moment I had nose gear collapse on one of high speed taxi running (very bad grass runway). That particularly moment I thought how this was ruining my day. I have no idea how lucky actually I was. The damage was not great, couple of Heim bearings and bulkhead repair. But this stopped process of testing because I need to get part from USA which finally arrived middle of November and in meantime you can imagine how I was feeling. Then mother nature get over and get us rain and snow which last till mid of March this year. Airport was closed all the time. That was right time for my planed trip to New York. In meanwhile I got idea to try flying Seawind with someone else in order to release some adrenalin on actually first test flight in my own.
Here it come part where I need something to say to all builders who didn’t finished their projects jet and plan to fly without getting any instructions for this particularly plane regardless on theirs flight experience. DO NOT DO THAT. It is absolutely essential to put GET INSTRUCTION part in Building manuals officially or through this post based on builder’s experience. This is best and cheapest insurance you can get in order to protect your investment and personal integrity literally.
That’s why I need to say thank you to guys from Planemakers who help me made my plane and directed me to Jack Ardyno (another great guy) who did his dedicated job to raise safety in flying Seawind. Thank you Jack, from bottom of my heart. That was non forgeting experience and that’s why I can say that I had luck on my nose gear collapse. Without these instructions, regardless of reading about Seawind performances, that wouldn’t be possible and what’s raised my confidence. I spent couple of enjoying days with Jack and I will do it again prior to my decision to get on the water for the first time.

Well, I did it.
Not as scheduled, but due to long period of rain, almost flood I was forced to be patient.
Finally sun show up, grass has been cut, runway dry and I have nothing to wait.
June 10, no wind, 95 degree early afternoon and I am good to go.
Unforgettable experience. Flight took less than an hour, one full stop landing and that is it.
Now I am fixing noticed misperfection and continuing to test plane.
Mike I didn't forget and CD follows.

I'm wondering if Jack Is giving discounts to all the people the he teaches to fly the Seawind, if they say nice things about him. This is getting very goushy. All the acolades. He's wonderful, He's terrific, don't try to fly the Seawind without going to Jack first. Must be giving kick backs.
Just kidding you Jack you deserve all the praise that is given to you.
