It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Sandy Saccio this afternoon, after a five month battle with brain cancer. She died peacefully at home, with Tom at her side. He asked me to let you all know, as he appreciates your concern. I am sure he will have more to say when he is up to it. Ed Lynch

    Ed & Tom

I am so terrribly sad to hear of Sandy's passing from brain cancer. I will not say I know what Tom is feeling but I certainly have an idea as I lost my wife in virtually an identical time frame from brain cancer the year I began to build my Seawind. It's a terrible ordeal and it's not particularly edifying to say things get better with time and I won't even say they do, but things do get "different" and one learns to carry on. One of the things that kept me going was the fact that Pam, my wife, loved the Seawind and hoped I would finish it and I am trying my best. My heart goes out to you Tom, hang in there and keep occupied, it helps.

    Sincerely, Tom Thunnell

Lyndia and I regard Sandy's passing as a great tragedy. We have spent many happy days with Sandy and Tom over the last ten years. Sandy was a caring and thoughtful hostess and a great storyteller. In coming years I know that Lyndia and I will reflect on our friendship with Sandy and we will miss her warmth, her bright smile and her infectious humor.

Our sympathy and best wishes to Tom.

    Tom,

I would like to express my deepest thoughts of sorrow for your loss. Although I did not know Sandy as most of you did; from the time I had spoken to her she impressed me as being a very bright and cheerful person. Sandy will be missed. Our best wishes and prayers.
