It was an exciting day as N695MD flew for the first time today with Jack Ardoyno at the controls. Certification of my dream took place on Feb. 22nd and today taxi tests commenced culminating in a much anticipated maiden flight that lasted approximately 45 minutes. For those of you that are anticipating the first flight of your Seawind, I can say the wait is worth the excitement that you will feel when you see your bird in the air. A big thanks goes out to Jack, Chris, John, and the crew from Planemakers for their work in making N695MD a flying reality today!

Congrats Chad! Great to hear you are finally in the air. Many happy flights.

How long are you and Jack going to be in Florida?

I'm thrilled for you Chad. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. You deserve it. Yours was a dream that is shared by many. Fly high and fly safe.

Congratulations to Chad. It is a great flying plane. We were running a little rough from SRQ to Sparta, TN, where we met a great mechanic, John. He diagnosed our rough runner and lackluster performance to dirty injectors which he cleaned in record time and got us quickly back on the road. We climbed out of Sparta at almost 2,000 fpm getting to 6,000 feet in five minutes at 3,800 GW.

I'm hoping to see Chad with his lovely wife, Carmen, at the next Splashin.

    Jack
