nice find! are you sure that's a Seastar? I thought the engine was mounted on the tail - like the Seawind - not a post like the Lakes. unless... of course your post is in jest!

Actually, I was informed that it is an "Airshark". The pictures are real! I stopped at the daycare and as I was about to get out and take the pictures the person that was with me mentioned that it would not be a good idea to start snapping picts since the cops might not understand. I went inside and talked to the providers. I mentioned that I am not a nut case, however I have a request. It seem as if I am not the only one. Others have stopped by to snap pictures. The plane inside is also a full scale, sit in and fly plane. Mabe an RV? Hey it's a cheep way to store your plane.

Rusty | Remember the Airshark Well!

Actually, I was informed that it is an "Airshark".

Rusty: I had the hots to build one of these when I first saw it. It was designed by the father of Mike? Lueck of CompAir. Studying the 3views and trying to figure out how I could build this in my backyard and get it across town--I gave up. The wing was one piece. My head hit the low canopy, too. They invited everybody to sit on the wing---no "no touch" sign. Very strong, like a Seawind. It had a custom wheel/brake design that was very thin, would fit completely into the wing, as I recall. Wish I had it for my Seawind project.

It does look like a nice plane. Compair is still building planes in Merritt Island Florida, bout 300 feet from my house, however not that plane. You are correct about the landing gear. It does fold up into the wing and actually looks a little beefer than the seawinds gear. There is a seawind builder in Virginia that has his gear set up as trailing link. He has a few more years of building before we see that plane in the air.
