    Larry Brunzlick | Insurance issue

We have just run into a snag while looking for insurance for our soon new to fly Seawind. We contacted an insurance agent through Falcon Insurance agency - the one recommended on the EAA website. After two weeks of not hearing back from him, we called him and he told us that so far he had not found any companies willing to insure us. Is it just me?

My question is, would some of you please post the name of the insurance companies and/or the agents that you work with so I could get in contact with them to obtain at least liability insurance?

Larry, I have my insurance through Falcon agency also, and they placed it with US Specialty Insurance Co. I only have liability. Hull was out of sight! It costs $2400 for liability, and I have to take an annual physical and flight review(because I am 75). Ed

    Not just you, it's "US".....

The seawind is not a widely flown airplane. Since there is a lack of good history and no parts (told to me by an underwriter); the insurance is HIGH!

When I L@@Ked a few yeras ago it was 15k for the hull and liability. Now it is $400.00 for liability only.

For the past 7 years N521GR has been insured with US Specialties as well.

1 million liability for $1,100/year and hull insurance is out of reach and the coverage is less then satisfactory $12,000/year for $150,000

    FYI: my agent:

    Baxter L. Allen

Larry, I have Falcon, full hull moving and stationary. It's not cheap but they actually give full coverage.

Thanks everyone who posted. We ended up getting Insurance through Falcon. Baxter Allen (Mike's post) was responsive and helpful, but we had already hooked up with Bob Mackey (Keith and Ed's agent) while at Oshkosh and he put it all together. Posting soon about N896CB
