keithw | Matco Wheel Bearings (and brackish water)
After I got home this year I pulled my wheels apart to check for salt water and rust. Two years ago I didn't for a couple months (at annual time) only to find a very compromised set of rusty bearings that required replacing. Also the stator plates had pitted so bad that I had to replace them also.* ka ching--ka ching. This year only small amount and cleaned up o k.* Question** The bearings have a built in seal and I always have one or two that Ihave nicked or tore slightly only to replace them. Called Matco and even though the bearing is fine they have no repair/replacement for the seal?????** Also how do you know when the bearing is full of grease???* Im always afraid that I will over fill and blow grease out onto the disc's.* Any recommendations???** Keith Walljasper** N80CC
