Robehouse | IO 540 hot starts
I am considering installing 'Slick Start' on my IO 540 to help eliminate hot start issues etc. Has anyone had any experience with this product from Slick Magnito (now owned by Champion Spark Plug Co)? Recommendations? Thanks, JR

I have the Slick Start on my Seawind, and can recommend it without reservation.
For me, a hot start is any subsequent start on the same day. Crack the throttle a little wider than for a cold start. Add no fuel until the engine begins to fire up, usually two or three seconds of cranking, then ease the mixture forward. The Slick Start will help a lot! Ed
